The Texas Musicians Museum and its adjacent Music Garden will open their doors in historic downtown Irving on Saturday, July 25. The much anticipated new addition to Irving’s thriving arts, entertainment and tourism scene offers an up close and personal encounter with memorabilia from hundreds of music icons hailing from the Lone Star State.
Exhibits feature items from artists and groups representing multiple musical genres, including Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Destiny’s Child, Willie Nelson, Janis Joplin, Waylon Jennings and many more. Records, stage-worn outfits, instruments, awards and more fill the 18,000 square foot space in Irving’s Heritage Crossing District.
The BIG Opening celebration will feature two sessions of live music in the adjacent Texas Music Garden, self-guided walk-through tours of the Museum and food and beverage for purchase from Neon Armadillo.
