The Colony Parks & Recreation Department will present the annual Liberty by the Lake to celebrate America’s independence. The celebration kicks off at 7:30 am with the Liberty 5K, 10K & Mile Fun Run at Stewart Creek Park. Following the kick-off, visitors can enjoy the Independence Day Parade at 10 am as it routes from Peters Colony Elementary to The Colony High School parking lot.
At 6 pm, visitors can make their way over to The Colony Five Star Complex and stay for a night full of events, including games, a watermelon eating contest, rides, food, live music, and more. The night will end with a fireworks show set to patriotic music.
The Liberty Carnival will be open daily from July 2-5; go to the event website for full hours.
