The Ginger Man will present the 17th Annual Texas Independence Day Chili Cook-Off, an afternoon filled with chili, competition, and live music, all benefiting Road Trip 4 Paws, a local non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pets in need.
Up to 15 teams will compete for the title of Best Chili, with celebrity judge Trey Chapman of Trey's Chow Down leading the panel. Attendees will enjoy tastings of each chili entry, and vote for their favorite through the People’s Choice award, with the highest donation tally winning a tab.
In addition to the chili competition, the event will feature tasting cup sales, a silent auction, and a raffle, with all proceeds supporting Road Trip 4 Paws' mission. Visitors can enjoy live music by Wooden Nickel throughout the event.
