The Dallas Is Lit! Literary festival is a four-day event celebrating the vibrant literary life of Dallas. The festival takes an expansive view of what is literary, centering fun, approachable and engaging events that welcome audiences to discover the imaginative power of language.

Dallas Is Lit! will feature a dozen exciting experiences showcasing the literary and cultural community of Dallas, including a conversation with 3x US Poet Laureate Joy Harjo, live performance of Langston Hughes' "The Weary Blues" with jazz accompaniment, a community book and author fair, a late-night poetry slam featuring local poets, a multilingual poetry performance and story times, readings, panels, and more.
