Theatre Arlington will open their 44th season with what many consider to be the perfect musical comedy, Guys and Dolls. American journalist Damon Runyon’s fabulous stories of Broadway chock-full of seedy characters, hustlers, sassy showgirls and a few beautiful saints come to life with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a witty book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.

Gambler Nathan Detroit, desperate for money for his illegal crap game, makes a sure-fire bet with his slick fellow gambler, Sky Masterson. The bet? That Sky can’t make the next girl he sees fall in love with him. Oh by the way, that “next girl’ is Miss Sarah Brown, a straight-laced missionary with a heart of ice. Sky has never turned down a bet in his life, not even one like this. The bet results in a series of hilarious complications and, of course, fabulous musical numbers. The show features some of Broadway’s most famous melodies, such as "Luck Be a Lady," "I’ve Never Been in Love Before," and "Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat."
