The DFW community will gather for the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks to honor and remember the heroes of 9/11, the wars since, and all those who bravely serve our communities every day as police, fire, and first responders.

The 9/11 Heroes Run 5k and 1 mile fun run will be followed by a "Breakfast with the Brave," where runners and the community can meet, thank, and form relationships with local police, fire, military and veterans while enjoying local breakfast food trucks and The Cody Wayne Band. Ron White, a Navy combat vet and memory champ, will also be performing his Afghanistan Memory Wall, on which he writes the names of every American killed in Afghanistan - over 2,300 - from memory. All race participants will receive a finisher's prize, and medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female runners in each of 11 age divisions. This event will also feature a First Responder and ROTC team competition.

The proceeds from this event will benefit the Travis Manion Foundation, which supports veterans and families of the fallen, and the Barbecue, Boots & Badges Foundation, which supports law enforcement, firefighters and their families.
