Truck Yard is once again kicking off Christmas by hosting the best party of the season. The Lowest Greenville Avenue bar will be celebrating the holidays with a full day of toasty cocktails, cold beers, sweater contests and Dallas’ most popular miniature Santa.
Throughout the day, there will be food, drinks, and more to keep people entertained. Modelo will be on site with a Santa Chair, Santa, and iPad-toting promo ladies. Those iPads will be used to take Christmas-y photos featuring special Modelo borders, so get your photo taken, and then have it emailed directly to your inbox. And because Modelo is chiefly a beer company, buckets of five 16-ounce Modelos will be available all day for $25.
Don your best (worst) sweater, whether it’s a 1980s gem pulled from your own closet or something you score from a thrift shop, because Truck Yard will be hosting an Ugly Sweater Contest on the stage at 9 p.m. The winner will receive a $200 gift card, which buys a lot of cheesesteaks and drinks. There will also be a dog sweater contest occurring earlier in the day.
Back by popular demand this year will be Dwarf Santa played by Celebrity Guest Drew Varick from American Horror Story, who will help to judge the sweater contest and happily take photos with all who ask. But instead of sitting on his lap, he’ll sit on yours.
