The United Way will present their annual Family Health Fest, a day in the park with healthy activities for kids of every age. Tool around the park to learn fun, easy ways to be fit together as a family as well as volunteer together. There will be face painting, arts and crafts, Dallas Mavericks’ ‘Pop O Shot’ contest and more. Dallas Cowboys’ legend Preston Pearson will judge a cooking contest, where four families are given random pantry items and tasked to whip up a healthy meal, Iron Chef-style. All across the park, booths will be set up with healthy, fun and energizing activities.
