The Women's Chorus of Dallas' sixth annual celebration of women composers for Women’s History Month features singing and composing sensation Moira Smiley with her ensemble VOCO, and their visceral and experimental musical experiences, along with more than 200 voices from TWCD, Texas Woman's University, and Dallas ISD high schools.
New this year will be the first Voices of Women poetry contest. Dallas-area poets are invited to attend a rehearsal and write poems inspired by the music they hear. Local poet Edyka Chilomé will select winners in student and adult categories to be featured in the concert program and preconcert lobby activities.
