VolunteerNow presents Hearts Of Texas Luncheon

VolunteerNow will honor community leader, Lydia Novakov, with the 2019 VolunteerNow Lifetime Achievement Award for her commitment to transform North Texas through volunteerism. She will receive the award at the 13th Annual Hearts of Texas Luncheon. Barbara Pierce Bush, daughter of former President and Mrs. George W. Bush and co-founder of Global Health Corps, will provide keynote remarks.

Novakov, a Dallas native, devotes her life to improving her hometown. She helped raise nearly $1 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, is a former president of the Junior League of Dallas, and currently serves as a Southwestern Medical Foundation trustee. Novakov supports numerous nonprofit organizations in a variety of roles, including: on the board of directors for the Hoblitzelle Foundation and Ursuline Academy; as a former Crystal Charity Ball Chair; as Honorary Chair for the Genesis Women’s Shelter annual luncheon; as a member of the Finance Council for the Catholic Diocese of Dallas; and as an Honorary Lifetime Director for the Senior Source.
