World Affairs Council of Dallas-Fort Worth 10th Annual International Educator of the Year Luncheon

Dr. Robert Gates, an American leader who has demonstrated influence in forming the administration of President Donald Trump, will discuss "Learning To Lead in the New Washington" at the World Affairs Council’s 10th Annual International Educator of the Year Luncheon.

Gates has served as both U.S. Secretary of Defense (2006-2011) and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (1991-1993). He was president of the Boy Scouts of America (2012-2014), a position previously held by Secretary of State nominee Rex Tillerson, who was CEO and Chairman of ExxonMobil Corporation.

The Council will announce the name of the 2017 International Educator of the Year later this month and honor that individual at the event.
