Josh Henderson, star of hit TV series Dallas and native Texan, will host the book launch of Tanner McElroy's new novel, War of Wings. The event, co-hosted by Dallas TV personality Hillary Kennedy, will take place at the Rory Meyers Children Adventure Garden. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

War of Wings is the first of a trilogy that tells the story of the fall of one-third of the angels from heaven and everything that led up to it through two love stories destined to collide. It is an epic retelling of the fall from heaven.

McElroy is a 2001 Lake Highlands High School graduate. He later attended Texas Tech on an academic scholarship where he walked on to the baseball team, earning a spot as a starting pitcher. After graduating with a double major, he was drafted by the Texas Rangers, spending time in their minor league system before a career-ending torn ACL in 2006.
