White Rock Lake Conservancy has partnered with the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department to host the third annual Celebration! White Rock 5k/10k race and festival.

Unlike years before, Grand Marshal David Dozier, who has run over 1,000 races, along with 2015 Dallas Marathon winner Logan Sherman, will be attending the race to meet and encourage runners.

The post-race festival will begin at 6:45 pm and will include live music from local band, The Lab. Food and drinks will be provided by local sponsors such as Lakewood Brewing Co., Oak Highlands Brewery, Hypnotic Donuts and Biscuits, Dugg Burger, Crisp Salad Co., and many more.

This event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the White Rock Lake Conservancy, a 501c3, sanctioned by The Dallas Park and Recreation Department thatto raises funds to support the implementation of the Master Plan for White Rock Lake Park and the Top 10 projects identified as vital to the continuing prosperity and improvement of White Rock Lake Park. The net proceeds from this year’s event will be used to help complete one of White Rock’s top 10 restoration projects, the stone tables. The restoration of the stone tables, the first picnic site ever built at White Rock Lake, includes the pavilion, walkways, lighting, water fountains, lily pond and the 13 original stone tables built in 1931.
