The Wild Detectives will present the book launch of Conversations with Diego Rivera by Alfredo Cardona Peña, the first English translation of historic interviews with Mexico’s most provocative artist. The event will feature dramatic readings by Teatro Dallas actors Omar Padilla and Armando Monsivais, who will be playing Alfredo and Diego.

The discussion will feature the late author’s daughter and theater director Cora Cardona, granddaughter artist Sara Cardona, and award-winning writer Ben Fountain, plus honored guest, muralist Rina Lazo, Diego Rivera’s last living student. Learn how Diego Rivera’s views of the world, art, and politics are relevant today.
