WingSpan Theatre Company will open their 16th season with Samuel Beckett's absurdist masterpiece, Happy Days. The play explores the tenuous relationship that binds one person to another, and each to the universe, to time past and time present. Winnie is buried in a mound of earth. Willie is always there but just out of reach behind the mound. By play’s end Winnie is buried up to her neck. However, the human desire for emotional connection never dies. Willie’s presence has been the source and catalyst of all of Winnie’s “happy days.”
Thursday performances and opening night on Friday, October 11 are pay-what-you-can.
