The Women's Chorus of Dallas will present Cantar: Songs to Warm Your Hearts. Attendees will experience the transcendence of nature through music as the chorus sings about the world that surrounds us in music with a Latin flair. Music includes Joan Szymko’s beautiful arrangement of “Nada te turbe” and “The Prayer,” by St. Teresa of Avila. This one-act afternoon concert will also feature music to honor mothers and others honored on Mother’s Day. A favorite at this annual event, “Music in My Mother’s House,” promises to bring back fond memories.  The program will conclude in the Butterfly Conservatory with a live butterfly release accompanied by the sounds of the chorus.

Concert attendees have the option of releasing a butterfly and taking home a butterfly plant for the backyard. Tickets include admission to the Texas Discovery Gardens.
