World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth presents 31st H. Neil Mallon Award Dinner

Rex W. Tillerson, the Exxon Mobil Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer with an international reputation for visionary corporate guidance and energy education, has been selected to receive the World Affairs Council's prestigious H. Neil Mallon Award. Mr. Tillerson is active in a variety of civic endeavors such as promoting high standards in education.

The 31st Mallon Award will be presented at the World Affairs Council's annual benefit dinner at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.

The H. Neil Mallon Award honors an individual who has excelled at promoting North Texas as an important international gateway for business, industry and diplomatic relations. Mallon, the chairman of the multinational energy technology and services corporation Dresser Industries, founded the World Affairs Council in 1951.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be Dr. Robert M. Gates, the nation's 22nd Secretary of Defense (2006-11) under both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. Dr. Gates is the author of Duty: Memoir of a Secretary at War.
