Pet of the Week
Need a running buddy? Claire the pit bull mix wants to tag along
Former featured pets Tilly and Sister are still waiting to be adopted. This week meet Claire, who was brought to the SPCA of Texas on February 2 because her family had to move away and were unable to take her with them.
Could this house- and leash-trained pup be your next running buddy? Let's see:
Breed: Pit bull mix
Age: 1 year
Weight: 55 pounds
Vital stats: This sweetheart loves to play, and she is the perfect exercise buddy. Claire’s previous family said she is leash-trained and house-trained, and she also knows tricks like “sit,” “shake” and “lay down.” Though her family said she is good with children, they aren’t sure about Claire’s past with other animals. But you can bring in the whole family — including other vaccinated animals — to meet Claire so everyone gets along before going home.
Come meet Claire (#114241) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
