Young Leaders
Uptown Dallas Inc. harnesses millennial power with new YP group
Here's a fun stat: a whopping 70 percent of Uptown residents are millennials. So it only makes sense that they play a part of the neighborhood's direction, including community events, volunteering efforts, and major changes to this Dallas area.
Enter the Young Leadership Council, a YP group from Uptown Dallas Inc. that is open to those ages 22-40 who live and/or work in Uptown and want to make their voices heard.
To celebrate, the Young Leadership Council is partnering with the Associate Board for Dallas Film (DIFF) for a happy hour. Come to Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown on March 26 from 5:30-7 pm to sip and chat with other like-minded YPs and learn more about joining the group.
The Young Leadership Council will work together over the year to establish, create, and guide four projects to fruition. This could mean anything from public art and education to safety and maintenance, but each project is guaranteed to make a difference in the area.
As an added perk, YLC members will also get to participate in a mentorship program with prominent Uptown Dallas Inc. board members, who include leading developers, property owners, and Dallas influencers.
So mark your calendar for March 26, and email info@uptowndallas.net to learn about joining this fun new group.
