Pet of the Week
Bright-eyed Libbi the petite pit bull is ready to play
From last week, Kitty Girl is still waiting for her forever home. But this week we’d like you to meet Libbi, a 2-year-old pit bull mix with a heart of gold.
Libbi is a petite 50 pounds, which makes her a perfect fit for any loving family. She loves to go for a walk through the neighborhood or frolic with friends at the dog park. She has already mastered the fine art of sitting on command, and she’s house and leash trained.
This bright-eyed girl loves to be groomed and have her belly rubbed, but she’s also quite playful. She enjoys chasing down a bouncy, squeaky ball or running in circles around her family. Although she knows how to have a good time, Libbi is just as content lounging on a soft blanket with a tasty snack.
Libbi was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on January 27 because her previous owners, who rescued her as a stray, simply were not ready for a dog.
Come meet Libbi (#112343) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
