If you think of yourself a Chihuly junkie — and considering how popular the exhibit has been since opening in May, there are tons of you out there — then the Dallas Arboretum has an offer for you.
When Holiday at the Arboretum kicks off the day after Thanksgiving, the arboretum will need of a variety of volunteers, including art host and room hosts.
Art hosts welcome visitors, talk about the Chihuly pieces and offer to take pictures with the glass sculptures.
Art hosts will be stationed in 12 areas to welcome visitors, talk about the Chihuly pieces and offer to take pictures with the glass sculptures.
Room hosts will have similar duties in the DeGolyer Estate, offering details on the history of a particular room of the building, which will be festooned for the holidays.
Both types of hosts will be needed seven days a week until December 30, although times differ depending on which duty you fancy. Anyone interested can contact Sue McCombs in the volunteer office at smccombs@dallasarboretum.org for more information.
