Career advice from The Onion, dogs that look high and the amazingness of the Harvard Band
Editor's note: There's so much that's beautiful, funny, smart and informative on the Internet. Problem is, there's also a bunch of garbage. Here's the best of the web right now:
1. We need to talk about the Harvard band. Yeah, yeah, the basketball team won its first-ever NCAA tournament game when it defeated New Mexico in an upset victory on March 21. But the band — with its exuberant expressions, random hat-wearer and reported "naked bus" tradition — is the real Cinderella story.
2. Dogs that look really high. Sleepy puppies bear a strikingly resemblance to someone under the influence of marijuana. Especially when photos of drowsy dogs are paired with deep thoughts such as "Sticks are like tree bones" and "He said, 'Where's the ball,' but like, why is the ball?"
3. Quite possibly the most mesmerizing gif in the world. And I can only imagine how the viewing experience could be enhanced if you were really, you know, "sleepy."
4. How to make your own Cadbury Creme Eggs. Because, as Buzzfeed says so well, "Easter without Cadbury eggs is like Thanksgiving without pie."
5. The Onion doles out career advice. You've probably heard the cliché that the secret to success is finding out what you're passionate about and making it your career. Well, The Onion has a slightly different — and sadly realistic — take on that idea: Find the thing you're most passionate about, then do it on nights and weekends for the rest of your life, because you know damn well that it’s far too late to make a drastic career change.
6. Fake "bingo" yell leads to criminal charges and six-month ban on saying the cursed word. Kids today have no respect for their gambling elders.
