Jimmy Kimmel's Coachella prank, DA's behaving badly and more links we love right now
Editor's note:There's so much that's beautiful, funny, smart and informative on the Internet. Problem is, there's also a bunch of garbage. Here's the best of the web right now:
1. Jimmy Kimmel tricks a bunch of Coachella attendees into pretending they've heard of nonexistent bands. As Kimmel puts it, "Music fans in general love knowing about bands that no one else has ever heard of." Apparently they also love bands they've never heard of. Our favorites include The Chelsey Clintons and Get The **** Out Of My Pool. Sounds like some real up-and-comers.
2. Travis County DA mouths off after drunk driving arrest and Dallas DA Craig Watkins gets sued for refusing to pay his roofer. After Judge Raymond Voet of Michigan found himself in contempt of court for using his cellphone last week, we thought elected officials might be infallible. Turns out they are just as depraved as the next drunk scofflaw. Side note: Watkins is countersuing the roofers for allegedly damaging his home.
3. Rebecca Martinson's insane sorority email gets parodied by Barbie. In case you missed this gem from the Delta Gamma chapter at the University of Maryland, catch up here. Then watch this video. Sisterhood!
4. This 14-year-old basketball player's highlight reel is NBA-esque. Seventh Woods has a whole lot more going on for him than a kick-ass name. Dude can ball. Hard.
5. Pint-sized Rangers fans remind us why we love baseball/America. In a word: Resilience.
