A Super Bowl-themed festival is coming to 30 cities across the U.S., and that includes Dallas: Called Super Bowl FanFest, it'll take place at stadiums and venues across all 30 NFL markets on Super Bowl LIX Sunday February 9, in a nationwide Super Bowl lovefest with food & beverages, meet & greets, local music, and interactive games.

In Dallas, it'll take place at Cosm, the immersive entertainment venue at 5776 Grandscape Blvd. in The Colony that opened in August 2024. It'll start at 5 pm. Kickoff for the game, which takes place this year in New Orleans, starts at 5:30 pm Dallas time.

The Fan Fest is hosted by Verizon and there is one catch: You need to be a Verizon customer to attend.

Verizon customers who wish to attend can also bring along "a select number of guests." Exactly how many guests, they do not say. They also do not say what the total capacity will be.

In fact, actual details on the event are scant.

The festival will include meet & greets with local legends. The only legend they've locked down for Dallas so far is Jason Witten, but they say more will be coming. Who exactly, they cannot say.

The festival will also include local entertainment including artists and bands. Who exactly that will be in Dallas, they cannot say.

The festival will also interactive activities that the release says could include "locker room access and photo ops." That's surely relevant in cities where the event is being held at a stadium. In Dallas, it's at Cosm, so … no locker room access.

The festival will also feature tailgates and food prepared by local chefs, the identity of which they are not yet revealing, or maybe have not booked? Who knows. Maybe this entire release is a diabolical plot to recruit chefs and musicians to participate.

The only thing they are saying is that tickets are now available. They're convinced this is going to sell like hotcakes. Note: Getting tickets requires that you enter your email, and they immediately add you to an email list. Tickets may be free but in the end nothing is free.

Other cities where it's taking place include all your major NFL cities — Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, etc. The only other city in Texas where it's taking place is Houston, where it will be at the Houston Methodist Training Center, and where the one named athlete booked so far is Cecil Shorts III.

“Super Bowl LIX is the most anticipated sporting event of the year but few get to experience it in person; we wanted to bring that collective excitement and energy to fans across the country with once-in-a-lifetime access they’ll never forget," says Verizon executive VP Leslie Berland in a statement.
