Singing for a Cause
Luke Wade and other Voice contestants band together for Kidd's Kids charity concert
As we wait to see if Luke Wade will survive the Knockout Rounds of season seven of The Voice, he continues to perform locally, this time teaming up with a handful of former Voice contestants for a good cause.
Untapped: The Stevie Jo Experience — not to be confused with the Untapped festival — takes place Saturday, November 1, at the Granville Arts Center in Garland. Headlined by Stevie Jo Rosenbalm, a finalist from season six of The Voice, the concert also features fellow season six contestants Morgan Wallen, Clarissa Serna and T.J. Wilkins, along with Wade.
With the genres from those five ranging from pop to rock to soul to R&B to country, the concert should have something to please almost anybody. Expect them to perform songs they've done on The Voice, as well as talk about how their lives have changed since appearing on the show.
But it won't merely be a chance to hear a group of great singers in action. Half of the proceeds from the concert benefit the charity of the late Kidd Kraddick, Kidd's Kids, which gives children with fatal or chronic illnesses and their families all-expense-paid trips to Disney World.
Tickets for the concert, which range from $10-$50, are on sale now through Eventbrite.
