Adele says hello to Dallas on concert tour de force through Texas
Adele plans to say a big "Hello" to Texas. The superstar songstress announced her upcoming North American tour on Monday, including two dates in Dallas.
She will perform at the American Airlines Center on November 1 and 2, 2016. Tickets for the sure-to-be-sold-out shows go on sale Thursday, December 17, at 10 am through Ticketmaster.
Adele will spend more than a week in Texas, with a stop at Houston's Toyota Center on November 8 and 9 and Austin's Frank Erwin Center on November 4 and 5.
The tour, which brings the British artist to North America for the first time in five years, features multiple dates in most markets, including six nights at both the Staples Center in Los Angeles and New York's Madison Square Garden. Her North American tour follows an already announced, sold-out European tour.
Adele's third album, 25, was released on November 20 and shot straight to No. 1 in more than 100 countries. In the U.S., 25 is the only album to sell over 3 million copies in one week and the only album to sell over a million albums in two separate weeks. The album has held the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 for three consecutive weeks since its release, and her hit "Hello" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 2 before holding the No. 1 spot for five weeks.
