Rock band Creed has emerged out of the wilderness for their first tour in 11 years, the Summer of ‘99 Tour, which will include a stop at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

The tour will travel to 40 cities across the United States over the course of two months, starting in Green Bay, Wisconsin on July 17. In addition to Dallas, they will play in San Antonio on September 13 and The Woodlands on September 14.

The band has been on hiatus since 2013 but their profile has been raised significantly - at least in the Dallas-Fort Worth area - because their 1999 hit song "Higher" has become an anthem for the Texas Rangers on their way to their first World Series appearance in 12 years.

Creed will be joined by special guests 3 Doors Down and Finger Eleven at all three Texas dates.

The band, which formed in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1994, has not announced plans for any new music at this time. They've only released four albums in their career, but their peak came with their sophomore album, 1999's Human Clay, which yielded hits like “Higher” and “With Arms Wide Open.”

The band recently launched a new webstore that will cater to fans old and new, including new merch designs as well as the opportunity to purchase entry into Mark Tremonti’s guitar clinic.

Tickets for the tour will be available starting with presales on Tuesday, October 31, with the general on sale starting on Friday, November 3 at 10 am at creed.com.

Fans can also purchase VIP Packages, which may include premium tickets, stand on stage to watch the first three songs, Meet & Greet + photo op with members of of the band, access to the pre-show soundcheck, exclusive merch, and more.

While much of the focus on award-worthy movies is put on those that come out in the final months of the year, the release dates for the ones that made the list of CultureMap's Best Movies of 2025 spanned nine months, from mid-March to late December. The one thing they all had in common was an attention to storytelling, with the occasional burst of starpower to put them over the top.

Scroll through CultureMap's picks of the 10 best films of 2025 by using the left and right arrows on each photo.
