Brand-new LOOK Cinemas to host opening night for 2013 Dallas International Film Festival
The Dallas International Film Festival has yet to officially announce any of the films for its seventh edition, but we now know the location of its opening night: LOOK Cinemas.
Never heard of LOOK Cinemas, you say? That's because technically it doesn't exist yet.
LOOK, the brainchild of Rave Motion Pictures founder Tom Stephenson, is taking over the former location of Studio Movie Grill Addison and transforming it into an upscale movie/dining option. LOOK will open March 29 and host DIFF's opening night six days later.
LOOK will also feature attached locations of Nick & Sam's Grill and Coal Vines pizza, so guests can order food during screenings.
The festival, April 4-14, will hold screenings and other events at a variety of locations, including Klyde Warren Park, Angelika Film Center Dallas, the Magnolia Theatre, Cinemark West Plano, The Texas Theatre, Hotel Palomar Dallas and the Nasher Sculpture Center.
Additionally, the festival will pay tribute to Italian filmmakers' influence on the movie world by screening a number of Italian films.
Because the festival lineup is not yet set, individual screening tickets are not yet available. However, if you're so inclined, you can go ahead and purchase festival passes, including an all-access Star Pass that lets you see nearly everything the festival has to offer.
