Faux socialites substitute piñatas for therapy on Big Rich Texas
In episode three of Style Network’s Big Rich Texas, the women get a rare opportunity to bond over the truth that none of them is actually rich. But when DeAynni Hatley admits to renting her large suburban home and even going without some basic utilities due to financial issues, the other renters on the cast simply give her a pat on the back and a smile.
Woodhaven Country Club’s high tea seems the perfect setting for Melissa Poe to (almost) boldly confront Dee about slapping her daughter Shaye and calling her an idiot.
Dee: What are you accusing me of being a bad mother, Melissa?
Melissa: No, I’m not accusing you of being a bad mother, but you’re borderline abusive.
No, Dee, you’re full-on abusive. And Mel is a total wimp.
Dee takes her hot temper to work where she’s designing a new closet for Leslie Birkland. Leslie keeps changing her mind, so DeAynni fires her as a client, remaining delusional all the way to the couch, where she reveals her marketing strategy.
Even though Leslie and I will never, ever, work together again, some of her billionaire buddies might become some of my billionaire clients.
Bon Blossman wears a cat costume and brings her Doberman to Cindy’s yappy dog birthday party. Cindy won’t let Bonnie in and the tension begins to build. Cindy lets off some steam with the piñata.
I’ve been paying $1,200 per month for f***ing therapy, and all I needed was a piñata.
The two meet again at the club’s barbecue, where Cindy makes a move on Bon’s husband, Jason. Bonnie gets some backup from Mel, who declares, “We have a new bitch in town, and apparently her name is Cindy.”
The next barbecue needs a piñata for sure.
