Reunited Jane's Addiction lays out 2024 tour with stop in Irving
Rock bands Jane’s Addiction and Love And Rockets will co-headline a limited summer U.S. tour, which will include a stop at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving on Sunday, August 18.
The tour will kick off in Las Vegas on August 9, traveling to 25 cities through September 9. In addition to Irving, the tour will make one other Texas stop in Houston on August 19.
The tour will feature the full classic Jane's Addiction lineup of singer Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery for the first time since 2010.
Nearing their 40th anniversary, Jane's Addiction has a loyal following despite the fact that they've only released four studio albums in their career, most recently 2011's The Great Escape Artist. Among their legacies is the creation of the long-running Lollapalooza festival, which was originally supposed to be Jane's Addiction farewell tour in 1991.
The English band Love And Rockets had their heyday in the 1980s and '90s, releasing seven albums over 13 years, most recently Lift in 1998. Among the many artists who claim the band as influential on their sound is Jane's Addiction.
Although they haven't released new music in 26 years, they reissued the five albums they put out with the record label Beggars Banquet in December 2023, starting with a vinyl box set and then individually in 2024, along with a previously unreleased compilation/companion CD to 1996's Sweet F.A., titled My Dark Twin.
Tickets for the tour will be available starting with artist presales on Tuesday, May 28. Additional presales will run throughout the week with the general on-sale beginning on Friday, May 31 at 10 am at LiveNation.com.
