Pickleball Kingdom to open indoor pickleball facility by Dallas Galleria
Remember pickleball, the post-pandemic craze? It's still crazy, and now there are two new spots coming to Dallas-Fort Worth. Both are new locations of Pickleball Kingdom, a concept founded in Chandler, Arizona in 2022, being brought to North Texas by Dallas entrepreneur and pickleball fanatic Dan Jenkins.
The two new locations are as follows:
- Dallas Galleria: 14060 Dallas Pkwy. will span 30,320 square feet with 11 indoor courts. Opening late fall.
- Keller/Fort Worth: 5650 Kroger Dr., Fort Worth will span 47,845 square feet with 17 indoor courts. Opening early 2025.
This follows a location already open in Plano, which opened in June. At the time that Plano opened, they bragged it would be the largest. Alas, soon it will have to cede that honor to Keller, which will surpass Plano as the largest dedicated indoor pickleball court in the area, with two more courts than Plano's 15. Sorry Plano.
The company’s stated goal is to provide locations within 10-15 minutes of every North Texas city and neighborhood, offering quick access to anyone who wants to pickleball. They're indoor facilities, meaning that people can play year-round regardless of the weather.
Each location' will feature year-round play on indoor courts with outdoor surfaces, hourly play rates, monthly membership options (including Founding Member special offers), a pro shop, locker rooms, lounge and meeting spaces
There's also The Kitchen, a grab-and-go snack bar, plus private lessons, free Pickleball 101 classes, leagues and tournaments, and events.
Dallas is not actually at the Galleria, but is instead a mile or so north at Spring Valley Road, in a former Sears Outlet store. (Dallas Sears Outlet does not sound as sexy.) Keller is going into an industrial building in the far north Fort Worth area, east of I35.
"Dallas Galleria and Keller are vibrant, active communities, and we're excited to bring our high-quality indoor courts and pickleball facilities to these areas," Jenkins says in a statement. "Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where players of all ages and skill levels can enjoy the sport, connect with others, and feel part of a supportive community."
