Shaq brings all-star brand name music festival to Dallas-Fort Worth
Former basketball player and current Renaissance man Shaquille O’Neal is bringing music to DFW via a brand-name multi-act concert. Called "Shaq's Bass All Stars Festival," it will take place on Saturday, November 16 at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth.
The festival, produced in collaboration with Medium Rare and Disco Donnie Presents, will feature nearly 20 performers on two different stages, led by Shaq, aka Diesel, himself.
This represents a return: The festival debuted in 2023, in September — a continuation of his touring live event series, Shaq’s Bass All Stars.
For 2024, the lineup of renowned and emerging artists will also include Dion Timmer, Dirt Monkey, Eptic, and Space Laces, along with NGHTMRE, Dimension, Peekaboo, Celo, Grabbitz, Muerte, Perry Wayne, Rated R, Sora, Kozmoz, Space Wizard, and Stoned Level.
In addition to the music, the festival will feature an array of local Texas flavors, interactive brand activations, and photo opportunities.
Shaq has a long history with music, releasing the rap album Shaq Diesel in 1993 just as his NBA career was heating up. Through the years, he has collaborated with artists like Steve Aoki, Riot Ten, NGHTMRE, Riot Ten, Eliminate, and 4B, and he released his debut electronic album, Gorilla Warfare, in 2023.
He's also involved in the restaurant business, having co-founded Big Chicken, a fried chicken sandwich concept which is opening a location in Fort Worth — its first in North Texas, opening in the Alliance area at the Victory Shops at Heritage Trace — in mid-2024.
Fans can sign up for access to presale tickets, which go on sale on Friday, August 16 at 10 am CST, at ShaqsBassAllStars.com. Tickets will go on sale to the general public the same day at 12 pm.
