Where to Shop Now
Where to shop in Dallas right now: 8 must-hit stores for August
Back-to-school bargain-hunters may be focused on the Texas sales tax holiday August 10-12, but there's plenty more reason to get excited about shopping in coming weeks. From discovering scents from all over the world at Le Labo to treating the men in your life to luxurious pieces from the Louis Vuitton men's collection, it's months like these when you realize how fun it is to live (and therefore shop) in Dallas.
Le Labo
Order your five-piece discovery sets and get ready to fall in love with 11 specialty scents from other cities as they temporarily land in Dallas. Yep, the fragrance factory that typically releases scents city by city is letting them wander around to other stores. The Discovery Set (available now for $60) allows you to sample fragrances from Tokyo, Amsterdam, New York, Paris and Los Angeles so that you are ready to make a full-sized purchase when they are released in Dallas for four weeks starting September 1.
Louis Vuitton
It's no surprise that NorthPark Center would get the first Louis Vuitton men's store in Texas. The store, located on level one between Rolex and Bottega Veneta, features a curated selection from the Fall/Winter 2018 Men's Collections for ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, shoes, watches, and Louis Vuitton's first men's fragrance collection of Les Perfumes Louis Vuitton.
Matthew Trent
This brand has been making waves in the Dallas market for 30 years now. Trent created a 30th anniversary collection that is meant to be wearable art that showcases his nature-inspired wax carvings, his love for colored gemstones, and his passion for learning and evolving. The collection's two feature pieces, Spring Rain and Wishful Thinking, are made of titanium and copper, which have never been used by the brand before.
Nordstrom
The favorite luxury department store is teaming up with Shoes that Fit to provide new shoes to 750 kids across 10 Dallas schools, including Edward Titche Elementary, Henry B. Gonzalez Elementary, and Urban Park Elementary. From August 6 to October 1, customers can visit any U.S. Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack to purchase a $10 giving card that goes toward providing a pair of New Balance shoes to a child in need in the community.
Reformation
This super chic boutique on Henderson Avenue is celebrating one year in business in Dallas. The brand continues to bring high-fashion looks in comfortable, cool collections perfect for Texas weather. Case in point? The new linen collection that includes everything from blousy tops to breezy dresses.
Rustic Cuff
Based in Tulsa, this bracelet company opened its second DFW location at Legacy West. Celebrities like Miranda Lambert and Giuliana Rancic have been seen sporting these sassy cuffs that range from leather to metal and even exotic skins.
Warby Parker
The NorthPark Center location now offers the entire kids' line. Parents can bring in their kiddos to try on and purchase frames, and they will be shipped to their homes (or available to be picked up in person). The collection features six versions of existing adult frames in two sizes — junior and junior junior. Each pair is $95.
Ylang 23
In addition to the opening of their sparkly new store at The Shop at Clearfork next month, the luxury jewelry boutique in Preston Center is hosting a piercing event August 18-19 from 10 am to 7 pm and 11 am to 5 pm (respectively). This is an ideal time to get your ears pierced by a professional and familiarizing yourself with the store's swoonworthy brands like Maria Tash, Jennifer Meyer, Sydney Evan, WWAKE, and more.
