Where to shop in Dallas right now: 8 must-hit stores for October
It's a great month to shop in Dallas. The weather is finally starting to cool down (a little) and the thought of buying a fall wardrobe suddenly becomes more fun because it's more necessary. Throw in some home goods and makeup and you officially have a really well-rounded list of great shops to check out from October to the first part of November.
Anthropologie
This beloved brand's NorthPark Center location officially launches its home design center this month. Think custom furniture, swatches and samples, and complimentary styling appointments that can be booked here.
Room + Board
This shiny new shop in the Knox-Henderson area is helping Dallasites make practical, timeless, and comfortable design choices. The best news? The store is stocked with knowledgeable associates who offer free design services. That, and the fact that 90 percent of the products are manufactured in the U.S., can make you feel good about your purchase.
BottleTop
This British sustainable luxury fashion accessory house is opening a unique pop-up concept store at NorthPark Center that will feature its clutches, backpacks, wallets, and more. The interior design of the space will carry the brand’s sustainable agenda forward by featuring recycled acrylic plinths and an immersive 3D-printed large scale sculpture made entirely from recycled waste plastic. The store is open from October 4-December 31 and is located on level one in between Neiman Marcus and Dillard's.
The Eighth Wonder
Mehmet Shon Celik has opened the doors to his new Knox-Henderson boutique that features art, clothing, jewelry, home decor, rugs, handbags, and gifts from around the world. We are especially digging the imported rugs and hand-painted Turkish ceramics. There are more than 1,000 items in this stacked space so everyone is bound to find something special to take home.
Morphe
This beauty brand, known for its full spectrum of professional quality tools and makeup, recently opened at Galleria Dallas and will open the doors to its new NorthPark Center shop this month. The store features over 300 brushes, signature eyeshadow palettes, and other makeup brands such as Jeffree Star Cosmetics. The new NorthPark store will be located on level two near Nordstrom.
Mizzen + Main
The Dallas-based men's clothier has quietly opened its flagship shop at West Village, 3699 McKinney Ave., #407. Mizzen + Main sells American-made clothing that is moisture wicking, wrinkle free, has four way stretch, and requires no ironing or dry cleaning. Hours are 10 am-8 pm Monday-Saturday and 11 am-6 pm Sunday.
Follain
October 19 is the official opening date for clean beauty emporium Follain's first Dallas brick-and-mortar store. The new boutique, at 3107 Knox St., will carry a well-edited assortment of nontoxic products that are vetted through a stringent five-step approval process. The store stocks A-to-Z brands, from African Botanics and Jane Iredale to Palermo Body and Zoe Organics. Read more about it here.
