Another Austin-based brand has set its sights on Dallas. Outdoor Voicesopens October 27 at 4539 Travis St. in Knox District — not far from fellow Austin favorite Stag Provisions.
This is the third store for the active-lifestyle brand, which also has a location in New York. Outdoor Voices’ flagship is in Austin.
The Dallas store offers the brand’s core product line, including its signature OV Kits, which are bundles of all the essential pieces for working out. Also in stock are a variety of other labels and activewear essentials, like sneakers, frisbees, jump ropes, dog leashes — even a selection of the company’s favorite reads.
The store itself was designed by Austin-based McGuire Moorman Hospitality and will feature warm, earthy elements; high-texture fabrics; and contemporary materials like Douglas fir plywood, stone plasters, and raw aluminum. Think chic, but natural.
Founded by Tyler Haney in 2012, Outdoor Voices is apparel for recreation. In other words, it's designed to be performance active wear, but it's also stylish enough to be worn to brunch with friends. Recreation, see?
The line quickly gained steam and was picked up by J. Crew, among other retailers, before Haney launched the flagship in Austin in 2014.
