Dallas Farmers Market crafts empowering arena for female-led collective
Before she founded Luxe District Collective, Anne Yarbrough was working as an accountant. But she knew she wanted a more creative life, as well as more time to spend with her daughter, so with the help of family and friends Yarbrough opened the lifestyle boutique that stocks home goods, garden accessories, and gifts.
Making its recent debut at the Dallas Farmers Market, Luxe District Collective sells everything from handmade furniture to barware, planters and pottery to handmade paper and leather goods.
All the items are either made or curated by female entrepreneurs, and it's a mission to which Yarbrough is devoted.
She says that partnering with the Dallas Farmers Market, which supports small and locally owned businesses, has helped further this initiative.
Much like the dozens of farmers and ranchers who arrive each weekend at The Shed bearing locally grown fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, honey, bread, cheese, and meat, the vendors in The Market play an important role in bringing quality goods to visitors.
Luxe District Collective is open daily from 11 am-6 pm in The Market. Stop by and shop a bit — you never know what treasures you might find.
