Pixies and Modest Mouse press rewind for 2024 tour with stop in Irving
Indie rock bands Pixies and Modest Mouse are getting together again for a 2024 co-headlining North American tour, including a stop at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving on Thursday, June 27.
The 23-city tour, which features special guest Cat Power, is a follow-up to a 20-date tour featuring all three bands in 2023. Starting on May 31 in Charleston, South Carolina, the one-month tour will also include a stop in Austin on June 26.
Pixies recently celebrated their 35th anniversary, having released their debut album, Surfer Rosa, in 1988. After breaking up in 1993, the band reunited in the early 2000s, but original bassist Kim Deal left again in 2013. Since then, they have released four more albums, most recently Doggerel in 2022.
Modest Mouse has been a band in flux for most of its career, with lead singer Isaac Brock the only remaining original member. They've remained popular throughout the changes, though, releasing seven albums in their career, most recently The Golden Casket in 2021.
Tickets will be available starting with Citi and artist presales beginning on Tuesday, January 23. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Friday, January 26 at 10 am at ticketmaster.com.
