It's Educational Too
Go on a free bender at Sigel's Spring Craft Beer Festival
Sigel’s in Richardson is bringing together craft beers from Texas and around the country for its Spring Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, March 23. In a sort of world tour, you get a passport at the beginning of the festival that allows you to sample 20 of the 55 brews from companies such as Boulevard Brewing in Kansas City; Goose Island Brewery from Chicago; and Southern Star Brewery from Conroe, Texas.
If you manage to fill up your passport by getting it stamped after each sample, you can turn it in for a door prize. But, honestly, you just got to sample 20 beers for free, which seems like a pretty good prize to us.
Want to talk brewery techniques and ingredients? Then have a chat with the onsite brewery reps. The festival is the most educational free 20-beer bender out there.
The featured beers are for sale at special prices, if you find a brew or two that call to you. And you should — especially considering that new-to-Texas beers from Firestone Walker Brewing — Double Barrel Ale, Pale 31 and Union Jack — are among those highlighted.
Firestone Walker debuted in North Texas earlier this week, and after trying a few at the debut tapping at Common Table, we get why its arrival was so welcomed.
Other featured breweries include Big Sky Brewing from Montana; Deschutes Brewery and Full Sail Brewing from Oregon; Victory Brewing from Pennsylvania; and No Label Brewing from Katy, Texas.
You won’t visit all 50 states with the 55 beers, but why would you want to travel anywhere when the beer is already here? To reserve your passport, just fill out this form and make your way to the festival on March 23.
