Watch this Dallas entertaining expert prepare a pretty dish in a flash
Whether you need to whip up something quick for an unexpected visitor, or you want an easy and delicious recipe for a summer gathering, Dallas entertaining expert Kimberly Schlegel Whitman has the solution. In this video, she explains how to make zucchini carpaccio in just five minutes.
Inspired by one of her favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, the recipe has only a few ingredients: zucchini, pine nuts, Parmesan, olive oil, salt and pepper. First, slice a freshly washed raw zucchini extra-thin, using a knife or a mandoline. Then roast the pine nuts for a minute in the oven at 425 degrees.
Place the zucchini slices on a platter; drizzle them with olive oil; toss the pine nuts on top; and sprinkle with grated Parmesan, salt and pepper. Even the kids will love this dish.
