Had enough cook-out cuisine? Time to get back into the regular swing of things with some can't-miss food and drink events all over the Greater Dallas area. Choices include an art and wine walk in Plano, a steakhouse cooking class at Dallas' newest Central Market, a Bastille Day bash, and a very special event with a favorite Texas Rangers player.

Thursday, July 11

Downtown Plano Art & Wine Walk
Enjoy sampling select wines around the neighborhood while listening to live music, viewing local art, and doing a little shopping. Attendees receive a commemorative glass, tasting card, and wine guide. There are approximately 20 wine stops each month, with each location serving a different one. Tickets start at $15, and the event kicks off at 5 pm.

Friday, July 12

Doers Dive-In at GoDo Discovery Co.
Guests enjoy a Fletcher’s Corny Dog and/or Baldo’s ice cream, as well as a DJ and an indoor activity for all. Admission includes a corny dog or an ice cream, but guests can buy as many as they can eat. Tickets are $5, and the event starts at 11 am. All proceeds go to CitySquare to help fight against summer hunger, as more than 262,000 Dallas County kids are at risk of going hungry every day this time of the year.

Wine 101 Blind Tasting at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse
Challenge your palate and sharpen skills at an exclusive blind tasting led by master sommelier Barbara Werley. Guests can experience wine the way professionals do and expand their senses through a tasting flight complemented by executive chef-crafted hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $75, and the event starts at 6 pm. To get on the waitlist, call 214-366-2000.

Texas Steakhouse Cooking Class at Central Market Midway
Join the newest Central Market Dallas location for this Texas feast filled with inspired dishes. You'll chop, bake, roast, and saute as you create menu items like Lambert's chopped salad, Texas ribeye with three-pepper compound butter, baked sweet potato with chipotle sour cream mash, and more. Tickets are $70, and the event starts at 6:30 pm.

Sunday, July 14

Bastille Day Celebration at Legacy Hall
Snack on French-inspired food, drinks, music, and entertainment at this event in celebration of our French friends. Think French-gypsy jazz musician La Pompe, specialty Champagne cocktails, a crepe pop-up, and more. Admission to this event is free, and the fun kicks off at 11 am.

Uncork for a Cause at Texas Live
Shin-Soo and Mia Choo present this fourth annual charity wine event to benefit The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. Choo, his teammates, and friends will present an evening of fun and games, a specially crafted culinary menu, beer and wine bar, plus an auction packed with Rangers memorabilia and VIP experiences. This unique event also serves as the release party for Choo’s 2015 Sonoma red wine, of which only one barrel of this limited-edition wine was bottled. Tickets are $150, and the event starts 6:30 pm.
