It seems we looked up from our barbecue plate and it was suddenly August. How did that even happen? This week is jam-packed with wine dinners, an exciting Whole Foods reveal and even a happy hour for urban-dwelling parents.

Reverse Happy Hour at W Dallas Victory Hotel
Head on over to the Living Room Bar every Tuesday from 7 to 11 pm for this brand-new reverse happy hour that allows guests to enjoy signature cocktails, small bites and live music spun by DJ Frances Jaye and JT Donaldson.

Sandwich Show at Which Wich R&D Test Kitchen
Take a peek behind the curtain to see what the Which Wich Test Kitchen is working on. Get a chef-inspired wich, chips, drink and a treat all for just $5. The event is from 1-2 pm and all that is asked is that you return your honest opinions.

DFW Restaurant Week First Course at Sixty Five Hundred
The kick-off party features some of Dallas-Fort Worth’s best restaurants, but it also pays homage to some of the area's best mixologists. It's the perfect time to sample food from restaurants that are featured in the Restaurant Week lineup. A portion of the proceeds benefit North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope in Fort Worth. Tickets are $50 for general admission and $80 for VIP, who get to arrive an hour and a half before general admission is let in at 7 pm.
A Special Night at Oak
Join the Dallas Chapter of the International Wine & Food Society and chef John Tesar for a five-course wine dinner. Tickets are $180 for members and $200 for non-members. The meal starts at 7 pm.

Warriors That Farm at Cafe Momentum
Join Warriors That Farm for a special night in one of Dallas' most magical kitchens. Warriors That Farm offers combat veterans an opportunity to learn the skills needed to earn a living while farming on Falster Farm in East Texas. The first-hand health benefits of Falster Farm are personified in Karl, a combat Marine and the creator and steward of the farm. The dinner starts at 6 pm and tickets are $50.

Urban Parents' Night Out at State & Allen Kitchen & Bar
Downtown Dallas Inc. gives parents a chance to get a much-deserved cocktail while connecting with other urban parents in the neighborhood. The first drink is free, and there are also complimentary appetizers. Admission is free with an RSVP to peyton@uptowndallas.net. The event kicks off at 5 pm.
