Consilient taps chef Jeff Harris to man the stove at AF+B in Fort Worth
Chef Jeff Harris, who recently left the employ of Bolsa restaurant in Dallas' Bishop Arts district, has been named executive chef at AF+B, the new restaurant opening in Fort Worth from Consilient Hospitality.
Consilient is the Dallas management company owned by Tristan Simon and the Headington Companies. It manages operations for The Joule hotel and restaurants such as Hibiscus, Victor Tangos, The Porch, Front Room, CBD Provisions and Fireside Pies.
Before Bolsa, Harris was chef at Craft Dallas in W Dallas-Victory hotel.
"We're elated about Jeff joining Consilient and taking the helm of AF+B's kitchen," said Simon in a release. "Jeff's Texas roots, precise cooking and commitment to local sourcing embody the culinary vision for AF+B."
Harris replaces Jeffery Hobbs, who left the company in August. "Jeffery Hobbs is a terrific chef and a great guy, but we determined together that AF+B wasn't the right fit for him," Simon said. Hobbs is now the executive chef at NHS Bar & Grill.
AF+B is the punctuationally challenged new neighborhood tavern that will open in Fort Worth's West 7th district in December, at 2869 Crockett St. It promises to be great, but having a plus sign in a restaurant name is a tiny burden, no?
