Lucky Goat Coffee from Florida opens first Texas shop in Frisco

Lucky Goat Coffee has made its Texas debut in Frisco.
A coffee shop from Florida has debuted in Frisco: CalledLucky Goat Coffee, it’s a small chain from the Sunshine State, bringing its first location in Texas to 2440 Eldorado Pkwy. #210, in West Towne Center, where it opened on March 20.
Lucky Goat was founded by Ben Pautsch in Tallahassee, Florida in 2010. It started as a coffee roaster for other cafes before opening its own cafe in 2015. The company is currently owned by Dan Watkins, who took the lead in 2022. He oversees strategic growth, business development, and financial strategies.
They've since opened six locations across Florida. Frisco is the seventh.
They have espresso-based drinks, but their big thing is coffee, not only with the beans that are their foundation, but also with a larger-than-usual selection of brewed coffee and cold brews, available in four varieties, such as cold brew with vanilla cream, or an energizing cold brew combined with espresso.
They even have cold brew "growlers" for those who crave more coffee.
Non-coffee options include chai latte, matcha latte, and hot chocolate.
Each location has a distinct vibe, but all welcome visitors to enjoy their coffee with house-baked treats. The Frisco location is offering kolaches, muffins, danishes, and scones, sourced from a bakery in Irving.
Bringing the concept to Frisco is franchisee Sabrina Watkins and her family. They wanted to introduce the concept to a new community and make coffee a more inclusive experience.
“We are proud to partner with our franchisees to bring Lucky Goat to Frisco,” says Lucky Goat digital marketing specialist Hannah Touchton. “The family is local to the Frisco area and is excited to start serving the community with great coffee.”
Aside from being a coffee shop, Lucky Goat is also a space for learning coffee brewing. They offer workshops led by coffee educators teaching the ins and outs of brewing and extraction, coffee processing, and latte art.
"As we expand into Texas, our goal remains the same: to serve great coffee while fostering meaningful connections in every community we join," Touchton says.
