Downtown Dallas Mex restaurant Wild Salsa re-opens after 3-year closure
A Mexican restaurant in downtown Dallas is reopening after a three-year pandemic-induced closure: Wild Salsa, The Mexican concept from DRG Concepts (Dallas Chop House, Chop House Burger, Wicked Butcher), is opening on June 27.
Their location at 1800 Main St. been closed since March 2020. According to a release, they're reopening with a renovated kitchen, interior, and patio, and will be open Tuesday–Saturday, 4–10 pm.
Wild Salsa debuted in 2011. Their location at 1800 Main St. was their first.
They followed that with Wild Salsa Fairview which opened in 2015, and which also closed during the pandemic but re-opened in 2022; and Wild Salsa Fort Worth, which opened in 2017 and which is still closed but will re-open in the fall. So complicated.
Signature returning dishes include Braised Lamb Shank, Chicken Milanesa, Sonoran Enchiladas, Shrimp Tacos, Tacos Al Pastor, Chicken Tinga Tacos, tres leches cake, and churros.
New dishes include

- Surf & Turf Fajitas
- Mahi Mahi Tacos
- Street Style Corn
Most of these dishes represent additions that were made when Fairview re-opened in 2022.
