Dallas young professionals show symphony love at wintry Uptown fête
Music-loving young professionals recently gathered for a winter fete at the Hotel ZaZa art gallery, where Vivaldi Patron Circle members welcomed familiar faces and got acquainted with new ones to recruit the next audience for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Attendees — including Katie Puder, David Cooper, Caitlin Fojtasek, Christie Sheffield, Caroline Carr, Lauren and Peter Dysert, Mary Summers, Julian Leaver, Courtney Westmoreland Rider, Peter and Blair Butler, and Farrin Mann — partook in drinks and eats while DJ Andre spun the evening’s soundtrack.
The party hit a high note when 2015 Vivaldi co-chairs Alex Bolton and Christina Geyer introduced DSO cellist Jennifer Humphreys, who performed a soft romantic piece while two Avant Chamber Ballet company dancers gave visual movement to the music.
Vivaldi Patron Circle is a group of individuals in their 20s, 30s and 40s looking for avenues to become involved in the DSO. The next event is a pre-concert reception before Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet on Thursday, March 12. For information about Vivaldi Patron Circle, contact Maliska Haba at m.haba@dalsym.com.
