Genesis Young Leaders let loose during marvelous masked affair at Dallas hot spot
Did Mother Nature really think she could stop the passionate partiers that make up Genesis Young Leaders with a little winter-like weather? Surely not. These young professionals arrived en masse at 3015 at Trinity Groves for the second annual Masquerade, which supports the good work of Genesis Women’s Shelter.
Spearheaded by co-chairs Marybeth and Kevin Conlon and Heather and Mark LeClair, the event had an art deco feel, with beautiful touches from Garden Gate Floral and Fauxcades in tones of black, white and gold. Upon arrival, guests —including Kamela and Kenneth Aboussie, Ashley and Matt Kellogg, Whitney and Preston Zapffe, Allison Vanderwoude, Eve and Blake Wiley, Abby and Drew Evans, Jessica Killough, Blake Rogers, Holly Heft, Ashley and Marcus Allen, Andrea and Eric Earnhart, and Jamie and Matt Miller — grabbed a Masquerade Mule, mask and some party beads and headed straight to the photo booth.
The silent auction and raffle grabbed attendees’ attention with items like Arteriors lamps, a Yeti cooler filled with beer from Four Corners Brewing, and a staycation at Hotel ZaZa. After table games and bidding, guests kept warm on the dance floor with help from the ultimate Dallas party band, aka Cuvee.
The party surpassed goals and raised more than $135,000 for Genesis Women’s Shelter, which provides provide services free of charge for battered women and their children. Genesis Young Leaders was founded in 2001 and is dedicated to promoting domestic violence awareness and to supporting Genesis and its clients.
