Young Dallas philanthropists brighten the night in white for 'The One' fall fête
Gorgeous young professionals headed to The Venue at 400 North Ervay in downtown Dallas for the sold-out “The Event: A Night in White,” the signature fundraiser for “The One” Society. These charitable partygoers heeded the call for white attire, which brightened the already chic rooftop garden.
Co-presidents Ashley Sadlon and Christin Tate Chavoya welcomed guests to this celebratory evening of cocktails, conversation and silent auction. All proceeds from this event fund an annual gift bestowed in December to the group’s beneficiary, the Child Life Program at Children’s Medical Center.
To mix things up, event chairs Alexandra Wales and Preston Walhood also invited two of their favorite young professional organizations, Dervish Club and CircleSevenFive, to join the fun. After all, when it comes to philanthropy, more is definitely more.
While sipping drinks from Deep Eddy Vodka, Woodford Reserve and local brewer Community, attendees — including Kara Houser, Ryan Matthews, Bethany Greer, Becca Halbert, Cameron Proffitt and Jon Mitchell — checked out silent auction and raffle items from Cook Diamonds, Le Mercier, Robbins Brothers and Dallas Athletic Club.
The mission of “The One” Society is to support Children’s Medical Center by engaging and fostering young leaders to make life better for children through philanthropic, educational, fundraising, volunteer and social opportunities. Since it was founded in 2010, “The One” Society has raised more than $125,000 for various areas of the hospital.
