JLD Ball Theme Reveal
2015 ball theme reveal gives Dallas Junior Leaguers good excuse to shop
The Junior League of Dallas gathered members, sponsors and donors at Belk for the big reveal of the theme and entertainment for the 53rd annual Junior League of Dallas Ball, slated for February 21, 2105, in the Chantilly Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole. Event chair Beverly Cahill has recruited Lynn McBee to serve as this year’s honorary chair.
As guests — including Bryanna Roop, Emily Eisenhaeur, Heather Bonfield, Kim Gleason, Cindy Turner, Hillary Turner and Katherine Coker — chatted and shopped the racks, Cahill took to the mic and announced that the upcoming soiree would be themed “Magnolia Ball.”
This large, elegant flower, which is associated with nobility, perseverance and dignity, symbolizes JLD and what it strives to represent within the community. The magnolia also represents fabulous Southern style.
“This year’s theme will embrace the elegant heritage of our great city of Dallas with a classic, yet stylish twist,” Cahill said. “The Magnolia Ball will be the Southern chic dinner and dancing event of the season.”
Cahill surprised the Junior Leaguers with some news about the musical guests. She announced that not one but two entertainers would perform during the ball: Gabbie McGee and Emerald City Band. McGee kicks off the evening with her fresh take on jazz; after dinner, Emerald City’s 13-piece super group takes the stage.
