alt-J’s name, a la Prince, is really just a symbol, ∆, i.e. what you get when you hold down the alt key on your computer keyboard and punch ‘J’ on a Mac. The band's music is not quite so enigmatic, though, as their blend of rock and hip hop has earned them plenty of fans since they released their debut album in 2012.

They're back in Dallas for the second time in 2014 in support of their sophomore album, This is All Yours.
