Dallas Can Academies presents 2015 Motherhood Luncheon
Dallas Can Academies will celebrate businesswoman Natalie Jenkins Sorrell at their 22nd Annual Motherhood Luncheon. Sorrell, an investment officer for the Employees’ Retirement Fund of the City of Dallas, will be honored for her commitment to education, family and community. The event benefits the students of the five Dallas Can Academy campuses and recognizes women who are volunteers and champions of children in the Dallas area.
Dallas Can Academies consist of five tuition-free, public, dropout recovery high schools. They believe providing a strong education to graduate thinkers is the foundation to breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty and illiteracy. More than 115,000 students have been given a second chance at life with the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
